Leave the Forest

The sun is bright when you leave the cover of the trees. You squint for a second while your eyes adjust to the scene in front of you. You’re positive you were here just yesterday, you can smell your own scent trails, but this does not look like the place you were in.

The short buildings are gone, more or less, transformed into piles of rubble. They hadn’t been very structurally sound yesterday, but now they are just chunks of wood and plaster. The vines weigh down any remaining standing objects.

The road, although clean yesterday, is cracked and grass grows through the lines. You make sure to avoid any cracks.
